Quality Assurance Technician Jobs in Oregon, IL
A Field Engineer in the quality control industry is responsible for overseeing, inspecting, and assessing the quality of products, processes, and systems to ensure they meet the required standards and regulations. They carry out site visits, perform tests, analyze data, and write reports on their findings. Additionally, they may also be tasked with troubleshooting and fixing problems identified during inspections. Their role is crucial in preventing defects, reducing manufacturing costs, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining a company's reputation.
To be successful, a Field Engineer should have a strong understanding of quality control methods and regulations, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. They also need good communication skills to effectively report their findings and suggest improvements. A Field Engineer should have a degree in engineering or a related field. Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) are also beneficial. Prior to becoming a Field Engineer, a person may have roles as a Quality Control Inspector, Junior Engineer, or Process Engineer.
