Quality Engineer

Seeking a proven Quality Engineer to ensure product quality through effective engineering practices and to drive continuous improvements by being responsible for a variety of engineering assignments focused on facilitating the control and improvement of product quality, working closely with key stakeholders in the process.

Job Duties:

• Implement QA procedures during pre-production and production startup phases
• Prepare necessary reports and maintain accurate records including internal audits and audit reports
• Establish quality procedures and guidelines for new products in collaboration with the engineering team
• Review current products and establish quality assurance procedures and associated documentation
• Collaborate with design, process engineering, manufacturing, sales, customer service, and purchasing teams to resolve issues related to customer complaints, product design, specifications, materials, tooling, and production affecting quality
• Apply knowledge of quality systems to develop and improve systems and products, ensuring compliance with internal, customer, and ISO 9001 requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar area preferred
• 2+ years of experience
• Effective communication and listening skills with internal teams, external suppliers, and subcontractors
• Ability to write technical reports and business correspondence
• Proficiency in advanced mathematics and statistics, computer literacy
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics and apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) to inspections and manufacturing operations, Understanding of GD&T principles, Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and Knowledge of Process Capability (Cpk/Cp)
• Understanding of precision machine shop production techniques and processes
