Senior Testing and Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary/Purpose

The Senior Tester and Quality Assurance Specialist will be part of the Digital Operations team. This person will be responsible for creating and facilitating automated and manual tests for complex solutions deployed in Entergy's digital channels.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Advise on the best approach for effective testing and develop testing estimates and provide them to the scrum team for proper initiative planning

Document testing cases for complex features implemented in the Digital Channels to meet the sprint and release timelines, leveraging qTest and JIRA

Train Testers and Quality Assurance Specialists on testing protocols, following the governance model implemented by the Digital Operations team

Ensure acceptance criteria meet requirements, quality standards and business processes, system compliance, and operational controls

Document test results, and review them with the Digital team and IT. Ensure issues are properly resolved ahead of product releases by working cross-functionally with a sense of urgency as needed

Challenge the status quo as needed to ensure the product team is designing new solutions in line with the vision and mission for each channel

Assist the Digital Operations team as needed with Integrated Customer Organization needs and/or storm response

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Minimum experience required of the position

5+ years of demonstrated track record of relevant technology delivery.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

Good written and verbal Communication skills

Applied knowledge of the agile methodology for project delivery, training or certification is a plus

Ability to train new testers and share business product knowledge to help them test more complex solutions

Comfortable with escalating issues and delivering under pressure

Strong attention to detail
