QA Laboratory Technician (2nd Shift 2p-10:30p) Coca-Cola - 3.8 Columbus, OH Job Details Full-time $48,000 - $58,240 a year 15 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Spectrophotometer Laboratory experience GMP Computer skills 1 year Entry level Full Job Description The selected candidate will conduct comprehensive analyses to ensure that all syrup and packaging meet the quality standards of The Coca-Cola Company. Additionally they will evaluate incoming raw materials and the water system to confirm their compliance with Company standards. Utilizing wet chemistry techniques and general laboratory instrumentsincluding pH meters, titrators, density meters, UV/VIS spectrophotometers, HPLCs, and colorimeters the associate will complete these assessments accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities include: inspection of production lines, equipment and the facility to insure high sanitary standards are being followed, working with production personnel on special projects to solve problems and improve procedures, the ability to maintain and troubleshoot lab instrumentation, the ability to function effectively under short time constraints, requiring occasional work outside of the normal schedule, the ability to work independently and as a team. Training: We will train the qualified candidate for this position. There will be a 30, 60 and 90 review of performance to ensure adequate progress is being made towards certification. Criteria : Individual should have proficient computer skills (SAP, Microsoft and various other applications). Individual should have ability to work overtime, weekends, and/ or flexible hours Individual takes initiative and accountability for the quality and effectiveness of their own work. Individual should have ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Individual must be able to work well in a team environment, across functional boundaries in performing all daily tasks. Individual maintains GMP and safety requirements. Individual has ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Individual prioritizes work and performs multiple tasks simultaneously. Individual understands processes and is able to perform troubleshooting, identify root cause and implement solutions. Individual should have no attendance issues over the past 12 months (this includes no written warnings or above). Individual should have over the last 12 months acceptable quality performance (this includes no documented verbal's or above). Should you be disqualified by management you will return to an open position with no impact to posting rights Should you remove yourself from the position you lose your posting rights for one year and will be placed into an available open position You will only be permitted to successfully bid on two positions within a 12-month period. Once you have successfully posted and trained for the position you will be required to remain in this position for a minimum of one year. The only exception being: You could post to improve you pay rate. OR A successful post moves you to a prime start, (workday scheduled to begin between the hours of 5:00am-9:00am).
