Manual QA Engineer

Insight Global is seeking out a Quality Assurance Engineer to join a large streaming service on a hybrid schedule in NYC. As a Manual QA Engineer, this person will be orchestrating end to end testing efforts to plan, design, execute, and report the delivery of the features for the team's technology roadmap and various projects within the global video engineering team. This person will be creating test documentation artifacts and conducting test phases according to the plan, and providing clear, accurate and timely reporting of test results. This person will be providing static analysis of User Stories and requirements, and communication any ambiguities and anomalies to the stakeholders, and active contribution to manual testing in various testing types for developing an SDK, a set of tools related to video playback. This team is responsible for everything content and playback, specifically working with iOS and Apple Devices.

Pay rate: 50-60/hr

Understanding of Video Streaming Technologies:
Including major Streaming Protocols (e. g. DASH/HLS)
Adaptive bitrate streaming
Video playback
2-5 years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer
Experience working with iOS Devices
Experience working with Charles Proxy or proxyman
Test management and issues logging tools (one of these: JIRA, GitHub, Zephyr)
Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze application/network logs.
Experience in cloud computing solutions (preferably AWS)
Excellent communication skills, and collaboration skills.
