ResponsibilitiesArcfield is growing and seeking a Systems Engineer IV to support Quality Assurance/IT Resiliency for their customer’s COMM Directorate. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to help produce an end result that meets or exceeds stakeholder expectations and ensures IT systems meet or exceed stakeholder fault tolerance and availability expectations. (Please note, an offer for this position will be contingent on an awarded contract.)
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Ensuring that key contractor products or services meet or exceed customer expectation through quality planning, quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement. Key products and services include, but are not limited to: any communications intended for COMM stakeholders, analysis and recommendations for COMM or other leadership; COMM engineering, governance or acquisition processes; significant analysis or decision-support assessments and recommendation to COMM leadership
- Support quality assurance activities associated with Service Providers’ engineering artifacts and operational performance and outcomes
- Facilitate the adoption, practice and promotion of industry best practices to enable COMM IT systems and service to meet capabilities and mission needs in spite of potential threats, to include operating through disruption, degradation, and destruction of other elements of the system, whether from environmental, mechanical, electronic, or hostile causes
- Facilitate the adoption, practice and promotion of industry best practices to enable COMM IT systems and service to operate thorough outages in other systems and ensure COMM provides highly fault-tolerant systems and services providing resilient operations with multiple virtual and geographically-diverse environments
Qualifications
BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
Required Qualifications :
- Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly
- Bachelor’s degree in S cience , Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Outstanding customer intimacy skills; ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams as well as to interface effectively with personnel at all levels of government
- A commitment to quality, accuracy, continuous improvement, and be detailed oriented
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks concurrently
- Strong communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Demonstrated judgment, initiative, and critical thinking to execute mission objectives
- The ability to travel as necessary to satisfy assigned tasks
- Be comfortable and flexible with executing additional duties as assigned
- Has demonstrated a holistic approach in order to design, develop, evaluate and modify end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle
- Has established and coordinated the development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to overall product development
- Has acted as a customer liaison and supporter for business development activities in order to understand and shape requirements
- Has participated in system conceptual designs and documented the design concepts
- Experience ensuring requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods
- Generate system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures
- Has reviewed test plans/procedures to ensure they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participated in the testing process to validate requirements
- Participated in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degrees or certifications in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Experience designing, researching and developing highly advanced applications, which may result in new product/business opportunities for the company
- Can translate high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and work with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower level detailed requirements
- Has experience working for the Federal Government/IC
