Our client, a leader in the medical device industry, is seeking an Electrical Test Technician to join their team. As an Electrical Test Technician, you will be part of the Research and Development (R&D) laboratory supporting innovative projects. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Electrical Test Technician

Location: Round Lake, IL (Onsite)

What's the Job?

  • Conduct electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing of new and existing electromechanical medical devices.
  • Set up and monitor testing activities while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Document test results accurately and communicate findings to engineering personnel.
  • Participate in product failure analysis and suggest design improvements based on test observations.
  • Utilize various testing equipment and tools, including multimeters and environmental chambers, to perform tests.

What's Needed?

  • High School diploma or equivalent; an Associate's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of engineering lab experience is preferred, or recent graduates with relevant internship experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with testing equipment and procedures, including environmental testing requirements.
