Test Engineer - Onsite

We are looking for two Test Engineers to provide product testing services for new product development, product cost reductions, manufacturing plant transfers, and other types of projects that require testing services. These roles are onsite at our Shakopee, MN facility. Preference will be given to local candidates.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

The Test Engineers collaborate in a team environment in a lab. The team includes other test engineers and technicians working with a variety of Fiber Optic properties. Responsibilities include:

Assist in the documentation of product requirements based on industry standards.

Develop product evaluation test procedures and schedules and test fixtures and test software, as well as, specify and acquire new test equipment.

Perform measurement systems analysis by submitting lab requests, scheduling testing resources, and providing technical support and work direction to technicians performing tests.

Provide regular feedback to product development teams on progress and testing results, perform failure analysis, write test reports documenting the results of testing.

Review and approve product design and engineering change documentation for conformance to company, customer, agency, and industry specifications and standards.

In this role, you will learn relevant industry standards for fiber optics and the range of lab test equipment, as well as learn about fiber optic products and technical principles.

Youll also work with engineering tools such as LEAN and/or 6-sigma, DMAIC DoE, FMEA, MSA, and uncertainty.

Career growth potential per engineering technical ladder with six additional engineering titles each with increasing responsibilities.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Complete a bachelors degree in engineering or a related STEM discipline by June 2025.
  • Live within commuting distance of our Shakopee, MN facility
  • Ability to work within a team-based environment.

You Will Excite Us If You Have:

  • Test Engineering experince in a corporate environment or internship
  • Previous experince working in a lab environment
  • Previous experience with fiber optics
  • Solid interpersonal abilities, including excellent writing skills.
  • Skilled at planning and the ability to pay attention to details.

Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. The expected salary range for this position is $67,700-$87,000.

The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Companys Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks paid vacation (prorated based on start date), and other leave options.
